Location: Charlottetown (family has requested applicant please live in Charlottetown area)
Services requested: requesting someone to do 2 regular shifts/week with a senior with dementia, in her home. Shifts will be 3 hours each. She needs companionship, likes to go for drives, enjoys going into the community for fun community events (mostly to watch vs. participate), out shopping, etc. To grocery shop, cook and plan meals with/for client. Light housekeeping required (bathrooms, floors, dusting, kitchen, laundry, etc. as needed). Ensure medication is taken and meals are simple and properly labeled for her to easily access. Take her for car maintenance, hair, nail and other appointments and other errands as needed (these will be scheduled for you). Keep records in her Client Care book and communicate with her adult children as needed. Working with one other care worker who works on opposite days - full training provided.
Individual needing care: female senior (80's) with moderate dementia, etc. Fully mobile. Still drives fairly well but is forgetful and you will drive for her too. Can have some off-days but mostly is easy to work with.
Hours/week: 2 days/week for 3 hours/each - afternoons. One weekend afternoon if at all possible.
Length of time requested: indefinitely

Qualification requested: vulnerable sector check, First Aid with CPR, driver's license, prefer minimum Respite Care Professional certification. Open to higher level, retired healthcare professional, etc. Also prefer if candidate has own liability insurance and reliable car to get to work.
